My first attempt at HDR
Posted March 26th, 2008 by seraphangelAlright, this is my first attempt at HDR, so I may still not be very good at it. For the uninitiated, HDR stands for High Dynamic Range, which basically translates to an image with a high dynamic range of contrast and detail. Alright, it's just a fancy name for photo combined together using at least three different exposures of the same scene. Still confused? See the image below and you should understand better.

It has been years since my last visit to Kek Lok Si, a most famous tourist destination in Penang, with it's huge Pagoda and statue of Guan Yin. My equipment
Posted February 2nd, 2008 by seraphangelWell since I've never really mentioned what kind of equipment I use to shoot my photos, I thought I'd just write about it in this post.
I've just bought my DLSR in the middle of 2007, so don't expect me to own high end gear and L-lenses. However I'm very proud with what I have and the photos I'm able to capture with them.
The Holy Trinity of Photography
Posted December 25th, 2007 by seraphangelThe title may sound intimidating, but it's actually the very basics of photography, so what is this Holy Trinity? They are the Shutter Speed, Aperture, and ISO controls of your camera. DLSRs will definitely have these attributes available for your full control, however some newer point & shoot cameras are starting to offer Shutter Speed and Aperture controls, ISO controls are available on almost all digital cameras except the very budget type.
